We guarantee that each screw head is meticulously aligned to perfection. We invest the effort in meticulously setting up a string line for every individual screw line, which serves as our guide when pre-drilling the screw holes. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that you can gaze along the screw line and revel in an unparalleled sense of satisfaction. Picture this: when you host a BBQ gathering with friends, you might all find yourselves instinctively admiring the flawlessly straight screw lines, leaving your friends asking "who built this deck, because I need them?"
We've all marveled at a pristine, newly laid deck, only to be distracted by the presence of unsightly pencil marks. Typically found near the joints or check-outs around a post, these marks can detract from the overall aesthetics of the deck. That's where our attention to detail truly shines. We invest extra care to avoid over-marking and creating unnecessarily large pencil marks, or we meticulously sand them away before the board even leaves the saw bench. It's these precise, thoughtful touches that accumulate and ultimately make an immense difference in elevating the overall quality of the final project.
Laying out the deck is often done starting with a board at one end and then working your way back using a spacer 4 or 6mm. Unfortunately, this often leads to a board cut in half or ripped down to suit the remaining gap.
We have a unique way of evenly spacing the boards over the entire width of the deck that ensures only full boards are used, and you aren't left with any boards ripped down, resulting in every single board being a full-width
We're not big fans of decks made with fresh timber that miss the mark on the little details. One of these details is how people arrange the joins, and often, they end up too close to each other.
We've got three simple rules we follow when laying out our boards to make sure the joins don't stick out like a sore thumb and to keep them looking completely random and do not grab your attention.
